Welcome to The Healing Spirit; our aim is to support people in their journey of Spiritual Development. We achieve this by running a number of leading and innovative Spiritual Development Groups - as well as individual coaching and mentoring. We also provide an outreach service - via e-mail and in addition to these activities we are also the leading Healing Centre in the locality - using an extensive range of therapies for:
The Body, Mind and Spirit.
Founded by The Reverend Greig McNeish (Full Member of The Healer's International Network [THIN]) The Healing Spirit, including The Coleford Spiritual Development Group are non profit making activities. However, we do put our gifts back into the community - putting Spirit back into Spiritual. Healing Spirit is a non Denominational Organisation, although we make no apology that our foundation is based and funded by Celtic Spirituality. You will find a range of belief systems and hopefully some of them will resonate with you, if not keep an open mind and you may learn something.

Memorials for a Loved One
The Tree of Life
In our Memorial Garden there is an apple tree, which we affectionately call the Tree of Life. The apples from this tree are left to feed the wildlife in the garden as a sacrifice to Nature. In addition to the apples and leaves that are on the tree are hung wooden hearts, each one for a loved one who is no longer with us in body – but possibly in Spirit. Why not have a wooden heart hung on this tree for one of your loved ones who have now passed over to the World of Spirit. This may be for a parent, husband, wife, partner, brother, sister or for a loved pet. If you would like a special message please let us know as all are hand written and blessed before and during the hanging of the heart. As these memorials are made of natural materials; i.e. wood & jute cord, they are left until they fall, at which time they are no longer needed and have served their purpose. They are also very eco-friendly! Please note; whilst a Blessing is recited at the writing of your heart, and again at its hanging; there is no other religious markings on the heart – unless you would like to stipulate, and I would be happy to do this for you.
There is no charge for this memorial, but if you would like to make a donation to the Cat’s Protection then that would be an appreciated gesture. Please e-mail the name and message you would like to have written on the heart to Greig. Also please note that all the hearts are in natural wood, if you would like it to be painted a colour please let us know!
The Children who don't fit in!
Whilst we recognise the need for Spiritual Development, we are also aware of our corporal needs. It is for this reason that we also offer more down to earth healing and therapeutic approaches. In addition to this we also provide a service to Parents and Children whose lives are affected by Autistic Spectrum Disorder and associated disabilities, including Emotional and Behavioural issues. Please see training for: Parents, children, and professionals in these fields. At Healing Spirit we not only look at the educational needs, but we have devised our own 'Social Skills' Curriculum. In addition to this we are able to conduct a sensory assessment, in order to fully understand the need's of each child.

Yet Another New Service!
St. Francis’s Healing Ministries
Healing Spirit is proud to be opening St. Francis’s Healing Ministries’ for the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas, specifically aimed at those members of our families who may not be in human form but from the animal kingdom.
This will not replace our existing Healing Ministry for Humans – but will run alongside this. Nor will it replace the essential work of our vet’s. Our aim is to support and complement the work they do.
St. Francis’s Healing Ministries provide a range of complementary therapies specifically aimed at those from the Animal Kingdom. Treatments will include a range of Spiritual Healing Approaches, Reiki Healing, Absent Healing, Daily Prayers and of Reiki for the Dying and of course Religious Services for funerals – as well as pastoral work for those bereaved. The work will be carried out by a small but dedicated team of qualified and experienced healers and counselllors.
Why is this called St. Francis and not just The Healing Spirit Ministries? This is to honour the Patron Saint of Animal’s Saint Francis of Assisi, who was also the first person to receive the blessed marks of Stigmata from Christ.
Fees: Healing is free at the point of delivery. However, should you wish we would support and encourage you to make a small donation into one of our marvellous and busy animal sanctuaries and rescue centres in and around the Forest.

Did you know that Saint Francis was the first person to receive the blessings of the Stigmata? - The wounds given to Christ on the Cross. Whilst it is reported by others who have received this miraculous sign of the crucifixion that there is a great deal of pain involved with this sign, Saint Francis never once complained of his discomfort. Since then a number of other people have also experienced Stigmata.

At the Healing Spirit we have a number of weekly groups for people of all levels. These range from beginners to advanced groups. Currently we have Spiritual Development Group's on Monday nights at The Sanctuary (Coleford Spiritual Development Circle), Kabalah Studies - Tuesday afternoon at The Sanctuary, Reiki Share the first Tuesday evening of each month, Thursday night is The Essence - Advanced Mediumship Circle; Friday night is also The Essence held at The Sanctuary (Note: Celtic Sabbath, for some people, commences at sunset on Fridays - Anum Cara observes this practice, although Holy Communion takes place on the last Sunday of the Month - including Holy Days, e.g. Easter, Christmas). For those studying Kabbalah this is Shabbos/Shabbat/Sabbath, and is a day of rest as commanded by G-d.
(It should be noted that we have deliberately kept Wednesday clear, this is because our sister group, The Point of Light takes place on that evening and we endeavour not to clash our activities with other Spiritual Organisations, especially those whom we actively support - In addition to this The Divine Service takes place each Sunday at the Rockfield Centre, Monmouth)
We have our own specialised curriculum with a wide range of teaching techniques and methodologies to deliver the curriculum. Each person has their own Individualised Development Plan, with long term aims and short term goals; in addition to this each person has their own target, which has been agreed by the individual and the teacher. These targets are used to monitor improvement. However, if an individual has a block then we have a wide range of therapies to draw on in order to address and overcome the block.
We only accept people who are genuine about their Spiritual Development, therefore it is essential that you meet and speak to Greig before turning up at a Group. Individual's who have personal issues are advised to have these addressed prior to progressing onto Spiritual Development. We take Spiritual Development very seriously and have a wealth of knowledge and experience on which to draw. If people have personal issues we would encourage them to use either one of our services or we can put you in touch with another service that may be more helpful to you. Whilst we take Spiritual Development seriously we still have time for fun, when you get to know Greig you will be aware that he has a great sense of humour, albeit dry at times!
