Healing Spirit

"Kabbalah — the world’s oldest body of spiritual wisdom — contains the long-hidden keys to the secrets of the universe as well as the keys to the mysteries of the human heart and soul. Kabbalistic teachings explain the complexities of the material and the nonmaterial universe, as well as the physical and metaphysical nature of all humanity. Kabbalah shows in detail, how to navigate that vast terrain in order to remove every form of chaos, pain, and suffering.

For thousands of years, the great kabbalistic sages have taught that every human being is born with the potential for greatness. Kabbalah is the means for activating that potential.

Kabbalah has always been meant to be used, not just learned. Its purpose is to bring clarity, understanding, and freedom to our lives — and ultimately to erase even death itself."

Whilst the majority of people would believe that Kabbalah is for people born into the Jewish Nation, or for pop stars such as Maddonna, or even just the lattest trend. The work of the Kabbalah Centre is to bring G-d's Light to all Nations and all people.

There are many books written on the subject, however, I would recommend that if you are serious about study into this 'way of life' then you can't go wrong from buying your books from the Kabbalah Centre itself, not only because many of the authors are involved in the work of the Centre, such as the esteemed Rabbi Berg, but that they have written many of the books for a Western audience, and from non Jewish backgrounds. This makes it simple and easier for us to read and understand - that being said - I always re-read the books, since they not only convey to me additional wisdom every time I read them, but also they boost my batteries and again remind me of the Beauty and Wonder of the Subject.

From my limitted experience of Kabbalah I find that within its works are the answers to all my questions, providing me with practical solutions.

You can go deep into the Kabbalah for many years, yet still not reach the bottom. I mentioned that I have The Zohar (or the book of splendour) this is not a short novel that can be picked up and down when you have spare time, as you will see from the picture below just how full the Zohar is, and wait until you get inside and begin reading!

Above the Book of the Zohar

(Book of Spendour)

It is not a short bed time read. Indeed these books are in themselves classed as sacred texts and should be approached with a certain amount of reverence. Read the texts, then scan the script.

The Tree of Life is yet another wonderful aspect of Kabballah, I have used it successfully for assisting people in their own spiritual and psychic development. Indeed I have been informed by an author that following using the Tree of Life she often sits down and receives inspired writing.

Above The Tree of Life

When you hear people talking about The Light, and how wonderful this is - the Kabbalah teaches us that this is the Light of G-d, the King of All Creation, and that the Light is a reflection or energy radiating out from Hashem (the word Hashem roughly translated means The Name, in other words one of the Names of G-d, which cannot be spoken).

Another magical or mystical aspect with the Name of G-d is His 72 Names, when working with these, to put it simply, you meditate on the Name chosen, this then enters your DNA and assists you with certain aspects of your life. The Book of the 72 Names of G-d can also be purchased from the Kabballah Centre. The great thing here is that you do not have to be an ordained priest or minister in order to access this, anyone can do it.

Above are the 72 Names of G-d

It has been explained to me how this may work is that every hebrew letter has its own energy, when these are put together to make up the names, it does not matter whether or not one can read Hebrew, but that the vibrations of the letters and the words resonate with one's soul, spirit or essence, leaving its mark on you for this lifetime. I can only describe the experience as feeling a great sense of anticipation, followed by a sense of peace, it can be very emotional. As with all things there is no right or wrong ways to experience this, you just do!

Above the Hebrew Script for Cleansing

We have not even begun to scratch the surface of Kabballah, but more in depth sessions will be covered at The Coleford Spiritual Development Circle (tm). I hope to see some of you there or if you can't attend and are interested in the teachings of Kabbalah contact the Kabbalah Centre found in the Links Page.

The red string of protection from the evil eye: You may notice that some practitioners of Kabbalah wear on their right wrist a red string, this is to ward off the evil eye (Blei Neider). These strings should be blessed by a qualified Rabbi, and have been rapped aroung the tomb of Rachael (these strings can be purchased from the Kaballah Centre). However, I believe that it is the intent that is important and you can make the appropriate Blessing or Brochos on the string - the important this is that the string should be of natural fibre, such as cotton or wool, not the mixed stuff such as polycotton, since this makes it impure, and certainly not linnen and wool mix since this would make the sting or cord not Kosher (Proper), it must be natural and pure material, as I said before cotton thread, or red wool. This should be bound or tied to your right wrist, when it falls apart it has done its job and can be replaced. However, do not throw the old one into the bin, since it has served you well, but rather bury it in order that it can return to the earth.

(Note if you print this page, please remember that it does contain The Names of G-d and as such should be treated with the utmost respect - if you wish to discard it, I would request that you bury it back into the earth, with an appropriate Blessing')
