Practical Support for Parents

Following a number of requests Healing Spirit has agreed to put on sessions offering practical support for parents who have children with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder or children with Communication Dissorders and Behavioural Difficulties.

The Advice and Practice is based upon the very top Clinical and Educational Researchers in the Field of ASD in the United Kingdom, and is based upon 25+ years practice with ASD and Emotional & Behaviour Difficulties, and draws on the cutting edge practice in schools and other services throughout the United Kingdom.

Teacher Training at Healing Spirit

Healing Spirit has designed a curriculum to assist people to Teach Spiritual Development. The course can be completed in 20 weeks, but requires 35 - 40 hours of attendance of lectures and requires 85% attendance. This ties in with The City of Guilds of London Institue's Level 1, Further and Adult Education's Teacher Certificate. The main difference is that our Teacher Training is specifically for Teaching Spiritual Development.

Watch this space for more information on this exciting topic. It will mean that people teaching Spiritual Development will be qualified, ensuring that group members have someone who not only knows the subject, but can demonstrate that they are able to pass on the information effectively, in other words teach the subject.

Requests for On-Line Development

There has been a number of requests for on-line support for people who are unable to attend a Spiritual Development Group. This is being seriously considered by Greig, although it will involve at least double the amount of work done by him. One of the possibilities would be if there were small groups of like minded people getting together to establish themselves as subgroups to the existing groups of Healing Spirit and Greig would provide them with distance learning, as is done by some Universities with certain courses. The advantages with Spiritual Development is that there are no formal tests or exams, the disadvantages to these subgroups is to establish constinuity and consistency of delivery, since Greig would not physically be there. That being said there has been a number of requests and Greig is considering running a trial. We will keep you informed as to the outcome of these investigations.

Lord Make Me an Instrument of Thy Peace!

(The Start of the Prayer of St.Francis of Assissi)

This is the prayer that hangs from the plinth on which the Statue of St.Fancis of Assissi stands, this is a shrine that has been dedicated to the work of Bill Harrison as an Inspiration to future Healers.

The prayer itself is inscribed on stone from Jerusalem, which was quaried between 2000-1000 BCE. This is nailed to a solid wooded plynth - from The Forest of Dean.

The Shrine itself stands in the gardens of The Healing Spirit, next to The Healing Sanctuary. The formal dedication was carried out by Greig in the form of the Celtic ceremony of sanctification. We are sure that Bill would approve.
